The Does
God
Exist? Week-Long Retreat for 2009
For
many years the Does God Exist?
program has offered summer programs: some in the field, and some
in a classroom setting--both designed to help
Christians train to be more effective in using apologetics to build
faith and answer questions. This summer we are offering four
programs in this area. The field
programs are at such locations as the Grand Canyon and the
canyonlands area in Arizona and Utah, and on the Galapagos Islands off
the coast of Equador in South America. The classroom programs
have taken place at some local college facilities or church buildings
near our offices. There are no charges by Does God Exist? for these
programs. The
only costs are those from the companies that provide services that we
use on the trips or for the buildings used, such as for lodging,
transportation, entrance fees,
and some meals.
This summer besides the several field trips, we are having a Week-Long Retreat. The retreat will be August 10-14, 2009. We will have all-day sessions on faith and science with John Clayton. These sessions will comprise of lessons, classes, lab exercises, and devotionals.
The retreat will take place at the Michiana Christian Service Camp north of Niles, Michigan.
Anyone interested in apologetics can attend. The sessions will be aimed at the non-science person who wants to learn. There is no age limit on who can attend. The camp has recreational facilities available for all ages.
What cost there will be at the camp will
be for lodging and meals. There are cabins, recreational vehicle
sites, and dorms available on a first come first served basis.
The cost for lodging will be between $10.00 and $20.00 per night.
Meals (three per day) will cost $15.00 per day. There will
be
no charge for materials supplied by the Does God Exist? program or the
instruction by John Clayton.
